Wand 171 started life with us as a piece of windfall, collected during a country walk. No trees were close and we were unable to determine the type of wood. She shape was curious and attracted our attention. When we removed the bark we found an elegant finely drawn pattern on the wood beneath which had a filligree or "mosaic" quality. The pattern developed as we worked the wood and the wand developed into a thing of great beauty, despite its odd shape. A clear lacquer was used to bring out the natural qualities of the wood - little else was needed.
This wand is strong in natural energies, is light and flexible and surprisingly sits comfortably in the hand.
